Girls & Womens Lacrosse Sprinter Ball!
Girls & Womens lacrosse is the best sport in the world, and its growth in North America has been explosive in recent years. It has a bright future because lacrosse is returning to the Olympics and most North American universities have well-funded women’s teams. Our Sprinter Ball program is intended for all girls, from complete newcomers to experienced, competitive players. We teach and prepare all players to play in the well-organized and well-officiated Ontario Womens Field Lacrosse league during the late spring and early summer. We take great pride in how well our players perform at the high school and university levels after playing for the Beaches. Last year 15 of our girls played for Team Ontario!
The winter segment of Sprinter Ball takes place on Saturday mornings 8:30-10am at our wonderful indoor winter facility at Upper Canada College. We have rented the whole bubble to ourselves! It is best to enter from the parking side by going through the arena. I recommend turf shoes if you have them, but cleats and running shoes are all right. We have loaner sticks, eyeguards and even (washed) mouthguards. Remember athletic wear and water bottles.
The spring segment of Sprinter Ball starts at the end of March. After March 16, we move outdoors to Cherry Beach Sports Fields on Tuesday & Thursday evenings (6pm-7:30 for U13s and younger, 7:30pm-9pm for U15s and older), and sometimes Saturday mornings, until Rep season begins in May.
The cost of Sprinter Ball is $200, which is a not-for-profit price reflecting the cost of the facilities, equipment and resources.
