TBLC President’s Message

UPDATED May 16th, 2020

Yesterday the Ontario Lacrosse Association (OLA) has extended the season postponement of all in-person lacrosse activities until at least June 15th. The OLA remains optimistic that some form of modified lacrosse will be possible.

This decision by the OLA impacts the Toronto Beaches Lacrosse Club (TBLC) Rep Box and Rep Girls Field seasons.

The OLA Board of Directors is mapping out a number of scenarios that will be explored within all provincial guidance. In addition, the TBLC Board of Directors has had a number of virtual meetings to discuss all options and potential club-level programs that could be offered to our players as soon as possible when the social distancing restrictions change.

The safety of our players, coaches and referees remains top of mind and we are engaging with medical professionals in our own community to help the Board of Directors make the best call for our return-to-play plans.

We are committed to getting our athletes back to play as soon as safely possible when facilities become available.

We know there is uncertainty beyond lacrosse, and if at anytime our Rep players who have paid team fees or deposits for the season require an immediate refund for financial reasons, please email our Club Administrator at admin@beacheslacrosse.com.

We promise to continue to communicate as we learn more.

#flattenthecurve #stayhome #beacheslacrosse

Stay healthy.
