We are pleased to announce the opening of registration for both the 2023 Fall OMFLL season and Girls & Womens Lacrosse (“GWLAX”) Fall Ball.

Field Lacrosse (predominantly boys)

The season will run on Saturdays in Brampton from September 9th- 30th with Championship Weekend October 14 & 15. There will be no games over Thanksgiving weekend. Practices will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays at Cherry Beach fields. As this is a competitive team sport, players are expected to commit to the full season and must be available for Championship Weekend on October 14 & 15. The season fee must be paid in full prior to attendance at any practice or game and covers all team practices and games for the season. Additional uniform fees may be required for new players. As per existing club policy, fees will not be prorated or refunded based on a player’s individual attendance.

Girls & Womens Lacrosse Fall Ball

GWLAX Fall Ball starts August 22 and finishes with a tournament in mid to late October. Cost is $200. We play on Tuesday & Thursday evenings, and Saturday afternoons. The program is designed to accommodate a multisport athlete’s busy fall schedule, so no one need ever feel guilty about missing sessions due to conflicts.

Obviously the more that youy can attend, the better. Buit our philosophy is for you to attend to whatever degree that you can while managing a busy fall schedule of school and other sports & activities. This is why we offer three different days — we want the multisport athlete and the busy student!

We will have experienced coaches to teach new athletes. Rep coaches will be working with the advanced players with a view to building teams to compete in fall tournaments and in OWFL in 2024. Coaches will conduct a first round of tryouts for the 2024 Rep season. The U17s and U19s start on Tuesday, August 22nd at Sunnybrook, where we are hosting a touring British team and the Newmarket Redbirds for exhibition games.

The U13s, U15s, U17s and U19s all have their first practice at Highview Park on Thursday, August 24th. Thursday practices will switch to Sunnybrook in September, and to Cherry Beach in October.

Mini Girls Fall Ball House League

We will be offering a 4-week Fall House League for girls SK to grade 4 on Tuesday evenings 5:45-7pm at Sunnybrook Park from September 4 to September 25. Cost is $100. This is an ideal introduction to the sport for young girls! It is designed for both new and experienced lacrosse players and will introduce girls to the sport of lacrosse, develop their skills, and have fun. In addition to skill stations to develop the fundamentals, the girls compete in small games each week designed to maximize ball touches and engagement in the play. This will be the start of something wonderful!
