With the current province-wide stay-at-home order until May 20th, we have had to make some additional modifications to the Spring Girls Lacrosse program. 

In our previous communication we announced the cancelation of the April and early-May (Cherry Beach) segment of Spring Ball House League. We now know that our start date is on hold until at least May 20th. As soon as the Province and City will allow our return to play, we will get right to the field! 

We hope to learn more in the coming weeks, but even in the most optimistic scenario, we expect Spring Ball will be modified greatly from years past in order to meet safety requirements and adhere to government rules.

Our Rep Coaches are contacting their respective training rosters with a view to providing virtual sessions until they are allowed to practice and play together in person. Ontario Women’s Field Lacrosse has cancelled its regular season and it is extremely unlikely that Toronto Beaches will be able to participate in any of OWFL’s alternate offerings this summer as a result of the number of COVID cases in the GTA. 

We will however actively look for alternative opportunities for our competitive players to play within our club and exhibition matches against other clubs so that players are ready for tryouts in the fall (when hopefully normalcy has returned).
