Toronto Beaches Lacrosse Club Families,

Sixes registration is open and we are writing to share some information about what the fall season will look like.

The Ontario Lacrosse Association has confirmed there will be a Fall Sixes Season. Sixes will be offered by the OLA for U9, U11, U13, U15, and U17  with the season running from September 1 to October 26.

Tryout Information

Toronto Beaches is hoping to offer a sixes rep program for as many ages as possible. If there is a need to hold tryouts they will be held during the first week of September.

Dates & Practice Schedule

Practices will be held at Cherry Beach fields on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.  The practice times for each team will be finalized once we have confirmation of the number of teams our club will be registering. We will do our best to accommodate reasonable practice times for all teams and ages.

The Sixes season will start the first week of September.  Zone games will be scheduled within our zone.  Games will be scheduled in the same way minor box games have been scheduled – meaning games may be scheduled on either weeknights or weekends. There will be a scheduling meeting July 29, 2025 and we will be in a position to share game scheduling information for each team shortly after that date.

Field Provincials will be held the weekend of October 24^th – 26^th,  2025.  Provincials will be held in Hamilton.

There will also be a Provincials Ratings Tournament, held in the GTA area, on October 5^th– 6^th , 2025.

There will not be any games or practices scheduled on Labour Day weekend or Thanksgiving weekend.

Rosters

The OLA has indicated that teams will be allowed to have 15 athletes per roster (including a goalie).

Equipment

Boys equipment requirements: gloves, helmet & face mask + legally equipped goalie.

In the U9 division, other protective equipment is optional.

Parents and athletes should consider their ability to commit to the full 8-week season including attending provincial championships.

We are asking families to register early on Sportzsoft so that we can get a good sense of how many people are interested in playing Fall Sixes.
